Job summary

48forty Solutions in Houston, TX is seeking a CDL-A driver to perform local truckload deliveries in a 53’ dry van. Expect 6–8 routes per shift, 10–12 hour days, and home daily with no touch freight.

Starting pay is 24.00 USD per hour with benefits including paid time off and 401(k). You must have a valid CDL-A, pass the DOT exam, and meet PSP and driving history standards.

Qualifications

• 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years.
• Must be at least 23 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid license to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician.
• No record of being disqualified to drive.
• Successful completion of a DOT road test.
• PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Candidates with experience in logistics, warehouse, OTR, Over-the-Road, CDL Class A License, Truck and Trailer, preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up trailers within 100 of miles making about 6-8 routes per shift.
• Drive an automatic, 53’ truck/dry van for 10-12 hour shifts.

Hourly Pay:

$24.00/hr

Shift(s):

1st Shift: Monday - Friday 5:30am - 5:00pm and twice a month 1/2 day Saturday

What You'll Do

• Handle all local truckload deliveries; primarily drop and hook

• Deliver and pick up trailers within (100 of miles) making about (6-8) routes per shift

• Drive an automatic, 53’ truck/dry van for (10-12 hour) shifts
