Job summary

48forty Solutions is seeking a CDL Driver in Dunn, NC to handle local truckload deliveries and trailer handoffs with daily home time. You’ll work the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, starting at 5:00pm, on a 53' tractor-trailer with automatic transmission, averaging 8–10 hour shifts.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license and within past 3 years 1+ year driving experience.
• Must be 23 years of age or older; able to read/write/speak English proficiently.
• Must pass a DOT physical and have a valid CDL.
• No disqualifications to drive and clean PSP history when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Handle local truckload deliveries; primarily drop and hook.
• Deliver and pick up trailers within 150 air miles per shift.
• Operate automatic, 53' truck/dry van for 8–10 hour shifts.
• Maintain safety and compliance with DOT requirements.

• Handle all local truckload deliveries; primarily drop and hook
• Deliver and pick up trailers within 150 air miles per shift
• Drive an automatic, 53' truck/dry van for 8-10 hour shifts
• 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years
• Must be at least 23 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid license to operate a commercial motor vehicle
• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician
• No record of being disqualified to drive
• Successful completion of a DOT road test
• PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years - a higher score will be reviewed
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
• Candidates with experience in logistics, warehouse, OTR, Over-the-Road, CDL Class A License, Truck and Trailer, preferred
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently
