Span Alaska Transportation is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to safely pick up and deliver local freight and to perform light freight handling near home. The role blends driving, hands-on freight tasks, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing safety and top-tier customer service.

You will load/unload, maintain paperwork, follow DOT policies, and represent the company professionally with customers and partners. This non-supervisory position offers steady hours and local work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Six months of driving or freight experience.
• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.
• Hazardous Materials endorsement or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Forklift Certification (or ability to obtain)
• Air Brake Adjustment Certification
• Ability to read schedules, maps, hazardous materials docs, and freight paperwork.

Responsabilités

• Safely pick up and deliver local freight using a variety of vehicles.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, or containers as needed.
• Move freight within the yard or warehouse using forklift or other equipment.
• Complete and process required freight paperwork accurately and on time.
• Represent Span/MSTS professionally with customers, partners, and the public.
• Consistently follow all DOT regulations and safety policies.
• Inspect vehicles daily for safe operating condition.
• Perform minor maintenance, emergency repairs, and routine cleaning.
• Assist with warehouse cleanup and organization.
