Job summary

Lynden Transport, a trusted leader in Alaska since 1954, seeks a Local Driver to transport cargo by tractor-trailer or straight truck. You may load, unload and deliver freight while maintaining logs and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a valid CDL A with HazMat endorsement, a clean driving record, and a willingness to work in warehouse/yard as needed. Excellent benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Applicant must be at least 21 years old with a good driving record.
• Must have current, valid Commercial Drivers License (class A) with hazardous materials endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor and trailer or straight truck to transport cargo.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring load is secure with straps, tarps, ropes or chains.
• Inspect vehicle before, during and after trips and report conditions.
• Maintain shipping documents and logs per regulations and company policies.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations for safe operation.
