Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt waste removal services. The role requires maintaining vehicle safety standards, completing daily VCRs, and adhering to state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment and controls are in working order.
• Safely operate the heavy truck on the designated route and service each customer as identified on the route sheet.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse, operate the compactor and dispose of material at the designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure routes are serviced promptly and professionally.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers per procedures.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and maintain vehicle/packers in good condition.
