Job summary

Buckhead & Newport Meat and Seafood seeks drivers to run daily routes with frequent stops, loading packages onto hand trucks and unloading at each stop in route order. The role involves cross-dock operations, handling loaded trucks from nightly deliveries, and returning empty trucks to the loading dock at day's end.

Qualifications

• High School or GED or equivalent.
• One-year route delivery experience or background driving a straight truck.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B (Class A preferred).
• English language proficiency for communication and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, and place in designated customer storage areas.
• Transport product safely on ramps, stairs, or docks in all weather conditions.
• Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures; address discrepancies.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and follow safety procedures.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
