Job summary

Würth Baer Supply Company in Indianapolis is hiring a permanent CDL-A Driver to perform customer deliveries with a 26-foot curtain side truck. The role starts at $26.00/hr, with a $2,000 performance bonus and a direct hire, no staffing agencies involved.

Schedule is Mon–Fri, 6:00am–2:30pm ET (or until route completion), with time-and-a-half after 40 hours. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) matching, paid vacation, and company perks.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL-A license and DOT Medical Card.
• Clean MVR and safe driving record required.
• Legally authorized to operate manual transmissions (10-Speed) and drive these vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods from the 26-foot curtain side truck.
• Deliver to 5–15 stops daily within Central Indiana.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate with management as needed.
• Complete pre-trip inspections using Samsara ELD and maintain DOT on-duty status.

Würth Baer Supply Companyis looking for a permanent addition to our team at our location inIndianapolis, IN. We are targeting aCDL-A Driverto perform customer deliveries.

Permanent Role

• This is a direct hire to our company.
• No staffing agencies are involved in the hiring process.
• Steady, year-round work.
• Average employee tenure is 15 years per employee across 30 branches in the US

Schedule

• Monday through Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm ET or until completion of daily route
• Time and a half after 40 hours

Compensation

• The starting pay rate for this role is$26.00/HR.

$2000 Performance Bonus

• $1000 after 90 days (3 months) and $1000 after 180 days (6 months)
• Paid for drivers in good standing with the company
• Consistent on-time arrival to work, good attendance, good attitude, work safety, and work quality are all factored into the evaluation of being in good standing

Duties

• Load truck with sit-down propane forklift and by hand as needed with materials such as drawer slides, hinges, door and cabinetry handles, hand/power tools, sandpaper goods, paint/stain, plywood, cabinetry, synthetic countertop materials, and laminate goods.
• Secure load to truck by tying down to ascertain safe travel between stops
• Pass goods to customers by hand weighing 40lbs to 100lbs
• Deliver to between 5and 15 stops daily
• Delivery area spans 150 to 400 miles in Central Indiana
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate as needed with management pertaining to customer questions and concerns
• Utilize Samsara Electronic Logging Device (ELD) on company cell phone to perform pre-trip inspections and demonstrate DOT-compliant on-duty status, etc. in lieu of paper logs. Cameras facing in the cabin towards the driver as well as on the road ahead to protect the company in driver in the event of any incidents.

Requirements

• Must be comfortable wearing a company uniform and protective footwear (composite or steel toe)
• Safe Driving Record (MVR)
• Must be legally authorized to authorized to operate manual transmissions and proficient driving these types of vehicles (10-Speed)
• Must have a valid CDL-A
• Must have Valid DOT Med Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate)
