Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver in Wisconsin to transport empty trailers to operating locations and turn around to deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. Drivers operate a tandem trailer, tractor trailer, or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, following DOT regulations and company safety standards.

The role requires 12 months of driving experience, a valid CDL A with doubles endorsement, and a 21+ age requirement.

Qualifications

• 12 months commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma/GED or state approved equivalent.
• Internal candidates must be in good standing.
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work third shift schedule, Sunday-Thursday nights.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and move freight of varying size and weight.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) for tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and needed repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies; secure freight.
• Ensure route paperwork is available with tractor/trailer.
• Drive and deliver trailers per the schedule.
• Complete hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Park and store tractors and trailers in designated areas.
• Secure equipment and freight; handle damaged goods and returns as needed.
• Record hours of service and log per regulations.
• Maintain housekeeping in tractor and loading dock area.
