Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Driver for the Chiquita Account to haul 40-foot containers between the Port of Wilmington, the local yard, and a distribution center. You will work home daily with no-touch freight and morning starts.

Expect consistent local routes with strong weekly earnings and bonuses including a $1,500 guaranteed pay during the first 30 days and a $500 New Hire Transition Bonus paid in full on the second paycheck, plus a $3,000 referral bonus per qualified driver

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 6 months of tractor-trailer experience.
• Valid TWIC card.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Must pass a comprehensive DOT drug test.
• Satisfactory driving, safety, and employment history.

Responsibilities

• Haul 40-foot containers, primarily banana freight.
• Shuttle loads between Port of Wilmington, local yard, and distribution center.
• Operate primarily within a 15-mile radius of the port.
• Home daily with morning start times.
