Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Logistics Specialist II, also known as a Driver, is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites within a 200-mile radius of the home branch. All deliveries originate and end at the branch, with no overnight stays required.

• Home every night
• Earn a Safety Bonus
• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Promote job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Verify and confirm loaded inventory, compare with purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and confirm addresses
• Conduct site inspections, noting any damage and identifying potential hazards such as power lines or sprinklers
• Take photos of all delivered building products as per company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load and unload building materials weighing up to 100 lbs. each; forklift or Moffett experience is a plus
• Clean driving record with no recent hit & runs, DWI, or DUI convictions within the last three years; severe violations or multiple accidents in the past year will be reviewed
• Prior experience in commercial driving and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations preferred
• Experience in distribution is a plus
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test and possess a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the last 12 months
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and pass an E-Verify check
