Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, known as a Logistics Specialist II (with or without a Crane Operator certification), is to deliver building materials to customers' businesses or job sites. Drivers operate within a maximum radius of 200 miles from their home branch, with all deliveries originating and ending at the branch, ensuring no overnight stays.

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Verify and document loaded inventory, compare with purchase orders, and confirm delivery details and addresses
• Conduct a job site inspection, documenting any existing damage or hazards such as power lines, sprinklers, or fences
• Capture photos of all delivered building products following company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each; forklift or Moffett experience is a plus
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & run, DWI, or DUI convictions; violations or accidents will be reviewed
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are advantageous
• Distribution industry experience is a plus
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test and possess a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the past 12 months
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and pass E-Verify
