Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, referred to as a Logistics Specialist II (with or without a Crane Operator), is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites. Drivers operate within a maximum of a 200-mile radius of their home branch, with all deliveries originating and ending at the branch, ensuring no overnight stays.

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment in accordance with local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre and post-trip inspections
• Verify and confirm loaded inventory against purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and confirm addresses and routing information before departure
• Conduct job site inspections, documenting existing damages and noting obstacles like power lines, sprinklers, septic tanks, mailboxes, fences, etc.
• Capture photos of all delivered building products following company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each, with experience operating forklifts or Moffett preferred
• Safe driving record with no hit & run incidents or DWI/DUI convictions in the past three years; recent accidents or violations will be reviewed
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are a plus
• Experience in distribution is advantageous
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials (rare cases)
• Pass a drug test and hold a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the last 12 months
• Be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. and pass an E-Verify check
