Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver to haul rail-container freight across Southern California. You’ll work a home-daily schedule with no-touch freight on a Friday–Tuesday cycle.

The role offers an average annual pay around $83,000, plus a $5,000 bonus, per-day increases, and other pay incentives. Hazmat endorsement is reimbursed if you obtain it, with optional 6th day for extra income.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Clean driving record.
• DOT Medical Card.
• Hazmat endorsement not required at hire; reimbursed if driver chooses to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rail-container freight from the South Gate ramp/terminal to customers throughout Southern California.
• Occasional Central Valley deliveries, including Bakersfield, Lost Hills, Maricopa, Santa Maria, and San Luis Obispo.
• Mix of drop/hook and live load/unload.
• No-touch freight.
• Pick up empty containers at receivers and return them to the South Gate ramp/terminal.
• Optional 6th day for additional income.
