Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver for a home-daily schedule within a 250-mile radius of Jersey City/Elizabeth, NJ. Expect consistent weekly earnings and a $10,000 bonus, with extra pay for congestion, Hazmat loads, and weekend work.

Routes cover Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, Long Island, PA, NY and CT. Hazmat endorsement is required within 60 days; ramp training is provided. Daily home time and task variety offer steady work.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with at least 3 months CDL-A experience.
• Willing to operate within a 250-mile radius around Jersey City and Elizabeth, NJ.
• Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days of scheduling.
• Clean driving record and valid DOT Medical Card.

Responsibilities

• Transport loaded rail containers between ramp and customers within a 250-mile radius.
• Pickup loaded containers and return them to the ramp for shipment across the U.S.
• Operate in routes including Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, Long Island, PA, NY and CT.
• Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days; driver unloads are rare and paid when required.
