Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver for a local intermodal account with home daily time. The role offers a $10,000 bonus and extra pay for congestion, border routes, Hazmat, and weekend work, with an average weekly pay of $1,750–$2,150 and additional training pay.

Responsibilities include transporting loaded rail containers within a 250-mile radius of Jersey City/Elizabeth, NJ, and routes across NY, CT, PA, and beyond.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of CDL-A experience
• Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days
• Clean driving record
• DOT Medical Card
• No SAP Drivers
• No riders
• Operate within 250-mile radius of Jersey City and Elizabeth, NJ

Responsibilities

• Transport loaded rail containers between ramp and customers within a 250-mile radius
• Pick up loaded containers and return them to the ramp for shipment across the U.S.
• Routes include Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, Long Island, PA, NY and CT
• Driver unloads are rare and paid when required
• Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days after scheduling
• Ramp-specific training with additional training as needed
