Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver to join our team for consistent nighttime work with daily home time. Expect steady freight, ~1,175 miles per week, and a mix of drop & hook and live freight.

Eligible for a $5,000 signing bonus plus safety bonus up to $1,000 per year and occasional extra workdays based on volume. Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, PTO accrual starting Day 1, and holiday pay after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months verifiable CDL-A experience
• First Seat / Experienced Driver
• Clean driving record
• DOT Medical Card
• No SAP Drivers
• Must be comfortable working overnight
• Must be willing to slip-seat when required
• No-smoking policy inside the truck

Responsibilities

• Local intermodal container freight pickup and delivery
• Approximately 1,175 miles per week
• Approximately 50% drop & hook / 50% live freight
• Intermodal chassis/container freight
• Approximately 5% reefer/TCI freight
• Consistent freight with additional work available based on volume
• Optional Hazmat certification with reimbursement upon proof of receipts

Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver – Good Pay + $5K Bonus | Home Daily

Join a local intermodal account offering daily home time, consistent nighttime work, and steady freight. Drivers can earn additional income through exception pay, a safety bonus, and available extra workdays.

Pay Details

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,550-$1,650
• New hires average $1,403/week during the first 3-6 months
• $5,000 Bonus
• Safety Bonus: up to $1,000/year
• Exception pay for detention, breakdowns, rail delays, empty moves, and more
• Holiday pay after 90 days for 6 major holidays
