Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver. Enjoy home daily with a Monday–Friday schedule and a 1:00 PM start. Earn about $75,000 per year plus a $10,000 bonus, plus paid hub miles and extra pay for live loads, drops, hazmat, refrigerated freight, and delays.

Expect 1,500 miles weekly with 100% no-touch freight. Hazmat endorsement is required within 90 days and reimbursed after hire. PTO accrual and ramp-specific training pay apply.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable truck driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• DOT Medical Card.
• Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire.
• No SAP drivers.
• No smoking inside the truck.

Responsibilities

• Local intermodal routes to Chicago rail yards.
• Approximately 1,500 miles per week.

CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver - Good Pay + $10K Bonus | Home Daily

Earn approximately $75,000 per year on a local intermodal account with daily home time, a $10,000 bonus, paid hub miles, and additional pay opportunities for live loads, drop-and-hook moves, hazmat, refrigerated freight, and delays.

Pay Details

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,500
• $10,000 Bonus
• New drivers start at $0.48 CPM, with $0.01 CPM annual increases up to $0.55 CPM
• All hub miles paid, loaded or empty
• $65 customer live-load pay
• $40 customer drop-and-hook pay
• $25 per Hazmat load
• $30 per refrigerated load
• $15 per empty move
• $23-$55 crosstown pay, depending on ramp distance
• $20/hour rail-delay pay after 1 hour
• Additional waiting-time pay may apply according to account policy
• $250 per day for at least 5 full days of ramp-specific training after orientation

Shift Details
