Job summary

United Pipe & Steel Corp. in Stockton, CA is hiring a Local CDL A Flatbed Driver. This full-time, home-daily role offers Monday–Friday schedules with overtime opportunities and a starting pay rate of $28.00–$29.00 per hour.

You will deliver products locally, maintain equipment, and uphold DOT regulations to ensure safe, on-time customer service. The position requires a valid CDL A, flatbed experience, the ability to pass drug tests and a pre‑employment physical, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of verifiable commercial driving experience, with flatbed experience preferred.
• Clean driving record; no DUI/DWI convictions in the past ten years; no more than three violations in the last 3 years.
• Must be able to operate manual transmissions in certain markets.
• Able to pass random drug tests and a pre-employment physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A flatbed commercial vehicle.
• Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain assigned equipment and report vehicle maintenance needs promptly.
• Follow all applicable DOT regulations and local requirements for hours of service and inspections.
• Properly secure and maintain loads during transport.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and communicate anticipated delays.
• Verify the count and condition of delivered materials and complete delivery documentation.
• Represent United Pipe & Steel professionally while providing high level of customer service.

What You'll Do

• Represent United Pipe & Steel professionally while providing a consistently high level of customer service.

What We're Looking For

• Clean driving record; no DUI/DWI convictions in the past ten years; no more than three violations occurring in the last 3 years.
• Minimum of one year of verifiable commercial driving experience, with flatbed experience preferred.
• Must be able to operate manual transmissions in certain markets.
• Physical Requirements
• Physical position, involving heavy lifting (~50 lbs.).
• Ability to climb on and off flatbed trailers, re-strapping or tarping product as needed.
• Able to pass random drug tests.
• Able to pass pre-employment physical exam.

Job Type: Full-time; non-exempt

Location: Rialto, CA

Start Time: Early Morning; typical is 3:30 AM

Pay: $28.00 - $29.00 / hour+ overtime
