Job summary

United Pipe & Steel is seeking a safety‑mocused Local CDL A Flatbed Driver to join our team. This full‑time role delivers product locally, with home daily and a weekday schedule from 5:30am to 2:00pm. Compensation starts at $30 per hour with overtime opportunities, reflecting experience and market conditions.

You will perform pre/post trip inspections, secure loads, and maintain equipment while providing excellent customer service to customers across the country.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience, flatbed preferred.
• Clean driving record; no DUI/DWI convictions in the past ten years; no more than three violations in the last 3 years.
• Must be able to operate manual transmissions in certain markets.
• Must pass pre-employment physical exam and random drug tests.
• Physical position with heavy lifting (~50 lbs.) and climbing on/off flatbed trailers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned equipment and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Follow all DOT regulations and hours of service requirements.

• Represent United Pipe & Steel professionally while providing a consistently high level of customer service.

What We're Looking For

• Clean driving record; no DUI/DWI convictions in the past ten years; no more than three violations occurring in the last 3 years.
• Minimum of one year of verifiable commercial driving experience, with flatbed experience preferred.
• Must be able to operate manual transmissions in certain markets.
• Physical Requirements
• Physical position, involving heavy lifting (~50 lbs.).
• Ability to climb on and off flatbed trailers, re-strapping or tarping product as needed.
• Able to pass random drug tests.
• Able to pass pre-employment physical exam.

Compensation:$30.00 - $33.00 based on experience
