Position Summary
Merchandisers work in local stores to keep Coca-Cola products fully stocked on the shelves. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining product availability and merchandising products at all designated accounts.
Position Responsibilities
- Maintain product in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by identifying replenishment needs, transporting product, replenishing, facing, rotating product, building displays, maintaining signage, cleaning, and securing damaged product.
- Manage backroom by organizing and consolidating backstock, monitoring inventory levels, and processing damaged or defective products.
- Operate powered and manual equipment such as pallet jacks and straddle stackers.
- Complete store documentation and maintain cleanliness of areas of responsibility.
- Communicate with store and company personnel regarding status and concerns.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions.
- Attend and complete company training and certifications, follow policies and laws.
- Utilize mobile devices for work activities and operate a motor vehicle.
- Provide customer service by resolving concerns, answering questions, and assisting with product location.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and have six (6) months of relevant work experience.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs regularly.
- Pass a drug test and background check.
Preferred Skills
- Beverage industry experience and customer service skills.
- Experience with manual or powered pallet jacks, and certifications for straddle stacker and pallet jack.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering objects up to 50 lbs.
- Stand for at least 6 hours, walk at least 4 miles per day.
- Able to read small to large print, and perform physical activities over sustained periods.
