Job summary

Saia is seeking a professional driver to transport freight across a defined geography, primarily handling tractor-trailer operations with emphasis on on-time deliveries and safety compliance. You will manage loading/unloading, route planning, and accurate paperwork while serving as the first point of contact for delivery issues.

The role requires a Class A CDL with hazmat, tanker, and twin trailer endorsements, at least 1 year of verifiable driving experience, and willingness to work flexible

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Background checks and driving record requirements as per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Drives tractor trailers to deliver and pick up customer freight.
• Sorts, handles, loads, and unloads freight at various locations.
• Plans routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Follows established pre-trip, post-trip, freight handling, and billing procedures.
• Conducts inspections by following safety and quality control procedures.
• Retains and maintains records, forms, and load-related paperwork.
• Serves as the first point-of-contact for delivery-related issues.
