Job summary

Saia is seeking a professional CDL driver for defined geographic routes. You will transport freight between terminals and customer sites, ensuring timely, safe, and cost-efficient deliveries with strong customer service at the center of operations.

Typical qualifications include a valid Class A CDL with hazmat/tanker/twin trailer endorsements, 1+ year of tractor-trailer experience, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Excellent benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• No DUI/DWI or license suspension for moving violations in past 3 years.
• No chargeable accidents or serious traffic violations in past 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Drives tractor trailers to deliver and pick up customer freight.
• Sorts, handles, loads, and unloads freight at company and customer locations.
• Plans routes and schedules for timely deliveries and pickups.
• Follows pre-trip, post-trip, freight handling, and billing procedures.
• Performs inspections per safety and quality control procedures.
• Keeps records and load-related paperwork up to date.
• Acts as first contact for delivery-related issues.
