Job summary

4th Day Trucking is seeking a Local CDL-A Driver for night starts (10 or 11 pm) on a dedicated intermodal account. You will haul containers within a 150-mile metro radius and sleep in your own bed after every shift, with 55–70 hours weekly and home daily.

This role features 100% no-touch freight, potential 2 overnights per week, and weekend work as standard on this fleet. Hazmat endorsement is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card.
• Residence within 25 miles of the dispatch yard.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Hazmat Endorsement preferred but not required.
• Solid driving record and clean work history with mandatory drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Freight Handling: 100% No-Touch Freight (live loads/unloads, preloads, and drop-and-hook).
• Running Radius: within a 150-mile radius of the yard.
• Common Loops: regional hub drops including runs to other yards.
• Equipment & Gear: slip-seat operation on clean daycabs; containers mounted on bare chassis at ramp.
• Ramp Operations: occasional 30–60 minute waits for flips when mounting containers.
