Job summary

4th Day Trucking is seeking a Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver to move containers across the regional metro area with 100% no-touch freight and nightly home time. You will operate within a 150-mile radius of the yard on a slip-seat schedule, earning solid weekly earnings and a consistent night-shift routine.

Shifts are night-based with 55–70 hours per week, and employment offers strong benefits and a stable route.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card.
• Must reside within 25 miles of the dispatch yard.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Hazmat Endorsement preferred but not strictly required.
• Solid driving record and successful drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate local intermodal runs within a 150-mile radius of the yard.
• Handle container transport with 100% no-touch freight where possible, including live loads/unloads, preloads, and drop-and-hook.
• Participate in regional hub drops and common loop routes to other yards.
• Use slip-seat operation with daycabs; containers mounted on bare chassis at ramp.
• Expect occasional 30–60 minute ramp flips when mounting containers onto DOT-legal chassis.
