Job summary

4th Day Trucking is seeking a Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver to haul containers within a 150-mile radius and return home every day. Expect 55–70 hours weekly with 10–12 hour shifts, night options, and shifts on Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday. 100% no-touch freight and steady night work keep you close to home.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card
• Hiring Boundary: Must reside within 25 miles of the dispatch yard
• Experience Requirement: Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience (Trainees, team operations, and owner-operators are closed on this run)
• Hazmat Endorsement: Preferred, but not strictly required
• Background & Safety: Solid driving record, clean work history, and mandatory drug screening

Responsibilities

• Freight Handling: 100% No-Touch Freight (Mix of live loads/unloads, preloads, and drop-and-hook)
• Running Radius: Operating within a 150-mile radius of yard
• Common Loops: Regional hub drops including runs into other yards
• Ramp Operations: Occasional 30 to 60-minute wait times for flips at the ramp when mounting containers onto DOT-legal chassis
• Home Time: 100% Home Daily, reset at home after every single shift
