Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking Local P&D or City Drivers to move freight between service centers and customer locations. You will ensure timely, safe delivery, perform loading/unloading, and maintain accurate DOT-compliant logs.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, 12 months of tractor-trailer experience, good communication, and strict adherence to safety standards. OD offers tuition reimbursement and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English clearly.
• Valid Class A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazmat endorsements.
• DOT regulations knowledge and safe driving practices are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer between service centers and customer sites safely.
• Meet DOT hours-of-service and safety standards; pass drug/alcohol tests.
• Load/unload freight, inspect trailers, and maintain accurate logs.
• Follow loading techniques and secure freight for transit.
