Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking Local P&D or City Drivers to haul freight between service centers and customer locations. You will sort, load, and unload shipments with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualified candidates hold a Class A CDL with required endorsements, have at least 12 months of tractor-trailer experience, and can operate within DOT rules. OD offers tuition reimbursement and a supportive, family‑oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English clearly for logs and shipments.
• Ability to understand and follow DOT safety requirements.
• Strong attention to accuracy in loading, routing and paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer safely within DOT regulations and hours of service.
• Load/unload freight and verify accuracy of shipments per manifests.
• Maintain vehicle inspection logs and document condition of freight.
