Job summary

Salt City Trucking in Delaware is seeking a CDL-A Local Live Haul Driver to transport live chickens from area farms to a processing facility. This local role offers daily home time, paid training, and the promise of a $5,000 bonus.

Expect to run evenings with a 12:00–16:00 start, about 1,024 miles per week, and 1–2 Saturdays per month. You must hold a valid CDL-A, have at least 3 months experience, and be able to secure loads on flatbeds.

• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
• DOT Medical Card
• Clean driving record
• No SAP drivers
• Ability to secure chicken cages using a cheater bar
• Ability to drive on difficult farm roads
• Willingness to perform physically demanding live-haul work

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver live chickens from local poultry farms to the facility.
• Transport chickens using a flatbed trailer.
• Average of 3 inbound loads per day.
• Secure chicken cages to the flatbed using a cheater bar.
• Navigate challenging farm roads with grades, bumps, and ditches.
• Ensure all loads are properly secured.

Earn $75,000 per year transporting live chickens from area farms to a processing facility in Selbyville, Delaware. This dedicated local position offers daily home time, paid training opportunities, and all major holidays off.

Pay Details

• Average Weekly Pay: Approximately $1,500
• Bonus: $5,000
