Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a motivated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas. You will clean bathrooms, dust surfaces, polish metal, empty trash, restock supplies, and assist guests with directions as needed.

We value safety, attention to detail, and a flexible schedule; candidates should be able to stand for long periods and push/pull carts. Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail is essential for spotting dirt and ensuring high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if needed.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, tiles, counters, walls, stalls, vents and/or floors; reach all above areas.
• Dust all furniture, pictures, and shelves; extend arms overhead, bend and stoop as needed.
• Clean and polish metal surfaces with repeated pressure.
• Clean ashtrays and empty trash.
• Follow cleaning procedures and instructions for using cleaning agents.
• Monitor cleanliness throughout shift.
• Restock supplies and report maintenance issues.
• Assist guests with directions or basic inquiries.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Thoroughly clean sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, tiles, counters, walls, stalls, vents and/or floors with cleaning agents by extending arms overhead to reach all above areas.
• Thoroughly dust all furniture, pictures, and shelves, extending arms over head, bending and stooping as needed.
• Thoroughly clean and polish all metal surfaces, applying pressure in repeated motion.
• Clean ashtrays and empty trash.
• Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
• Monitor cleanliness throughout assigned shift
• Restock supplies and report maintenance issues
• Assist guests with directions or basic inquiries
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Prior housekeeping or public area experience preferred
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must have flexible schedule
• Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
