Job summary

Fairmont Kea Lani on Maui is seeking an experienced server for Pilina, our lobby lounge. You will connect guests with the cuisine inspired by our island culture, delivering attentive, personalized service in a luxury resort setting.

Requires minimum two years in a high-volume or luxury restaurant, fine dining experience a plus, and relevant certifications. Schedule includes weekends/holidays; IRCA-compliant work authorization required; no visa sponsorship offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years serving experience in a high volume restaurant is required, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
• Previous fine dining experience and wine knowledge is an asset.
• Previous experience in a 4 diamond hotel environment is an asset.
• TB Clearance
• Maui County Liquor Card
• Food Safety Certification or ServSafe Certification
• All Candidates must be in possession of identification proving authorization to work in the United States as defined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA). This Position does not offer sponsorship of Work Visas.

Responsibilities

• Confirm station assignment
• Complete daily opening checklist and duties assigned
• Follow Fairmont Kea Lani sequence of service which will include but not limited to the following: welcome guest, introduce venue with approved verbiage, set table with glassware, take beverage order, pour water/juice/coffee, take food order, punch in order to POS, pick up drinks and deliver, set table, pick up food, deliver food, maintain table adhering to sanitation guidelines, bus tables, present check, and reset the table ready for the next guest.
• Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods.
• Bring passion towards the guest experience and actively look for ways to emotionally engage with our guests.
• Actively participate in monthly departmental sales promotions.
• Adhere to the State of Hawaii Department of Health & EHC food handling safety standards
• Organize time so all side work is completed according to shift demand
• Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests
