Job summary

Four Seasons Maui seeks a Lobby Lounge Server to deliver exceptional food and beverage knowledge, describe menu items vividly, and coordinate guest orders with the kitchen using the hotel’s POS system.

You will join the Food & Beverage division, report to the Lobby Lounge Management Team, and must have Hawaii Food Handler’s Card, Maui Liquor Card, and ServSafe within 3 months. This is a full-time role with evenings and weekends, in a physically active environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of food & beverage service or related work.
• Ability to carry and balance a tray.
• Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions.
• Hawaii Food Handler’s Card
• Maui Liquor Card
• Tuberculosis Clearance
• ServSafe (within 3 months).

Responsibilities

• Describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests with vivid descriptions; relay guest orders to the kitchen; coordinate timings; ensure order accuracy.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests; ensure guest satisfaction.

Lobby Lounge Server

Serve guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of food & beverage menu items as well as information regarding preparation methods. This role is part of the Food & Beverage Division, reporting to the Lobby Lounge Management Team. Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the United States at the time of application.

What You Will Do

• Describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; coordinate food timings; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
