Job summary

Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego seeks a Lobby Lounge Server Assistant (Part-Time) to support servers and bartenders in a luxury setting. You will be expected to stay motivated, be well-groomed, and communicate effectively to deliver a flawless dining experience.

The role requires prior restaurant experience, a Food Handlers Card, and RBS certification, with a high school diploma. Strong guest service and knowledge of CA serving guidelines are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a similar restaurant environment preferred.
• Food Handlers Card required.
• RBS Certification required.
• High School graduate.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of Restaurant operations, its services, and facilities.
• Must have superior guest service abilities as well as a complete understanding of California serving guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist servers and bartenders in daily duties.
• Maintain a congenial appearance and be well groomed at all times.
• Handle a fast-paced work environment with attention to detail.
• Ensure setups are ready for service according to standards.
• Support service colleagues in pre-shift duties and bar area setup.
• Facilitate communication between kitchen and Front of House staff.
• Expedite dishes to service area and maintain tables as needed.
• Assist in breakdown and cleanup of service areas.
