Job summary

Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego is seeking a part-time Holiday Season Grand Social Server Assistant to support servers and bartenders and ensure a polished guest experience. The role requires a neat appearance, energy, and strong communication on a fast-paced luxury service floor.

Ideal candidates will have a Food Handlers Card, RBS Certification, and a High School diploma, with prior restaurant experience preferred. Competitive hourly wages and access to exclusive hotel perks are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar restaurant environment preferred.
• Food Handlers Card required.
• RBS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Display a congenial appearance and is well groomed at all times.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and detail-oriented qualities are necessary.
• Ensure all setups are ready for service according to standards.
• Assist service to colleagues in completing pre-shift duties; including polishing all serving trays, setup of the bar area for service, polish buckets and additional side duties as outlined in the pre-shift duties list.
• Assist staff in delivering a flawless dining experience, consistently providing exceptional food, superlative service, elegant decor and exquisite presentations.
• The Server Attendant’s main job is to expedite completed dishes to the service area, provide table maintenance, assist bartenders with setup, glass polishing, and restocking of bar items.
• Assist service colleagues in breakdown and clean-up of service areas; all coffee and espresso service replaced and cleaned, service items stored.
