Job summary

Fairmont Grand Del Mar invites a qualified Lobby Lounge Bartender to join our luxury resort team in San Diego. You will craft cocktails, manage mise en place, and deliver exceptional guest service in a refined setting.

Responsibilities include assisting guests, presenting the menu, and ensuring compliance with beverage regulations. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within the Fairmont portfolio.

Qualifications

2 years of experience in bar or high-volume bar environment.
Exemplary knowledge of spirits and wine as well as food and wine pairing.
Food Handlers Card required; RBS Certification required.
Must be able to read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace.

Responsibilities

Display a congenial appearance and be well groomed at all times.
Ensure mise in place is set up and ready for service per SOP.
Assist with pre-shift mise in place, bar setup, garnishes, and wine by the glass.
Provide exceptional dining experience with elegant décor and presentations.
Assist guests in seating areas, offer specialty cocktails, describe menus, and escort drinks to tables.
Prepare cocktails for dining room and private events.
Support colleagues in breakdown and cleanup of bar areas and storage.
Check customer identifications to confirm legal drinking age.
Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
