Job summary

Join the luxury hospitality team at Fairmont Grand Del Mar as a Lobby Lounge Bartender. Prepare and service beverages for servers and guests in a speedy, efficient, friendly, and professional manner.

Responsibilities include guiding guests through a five-star dining experience, maintaining bar mise en place, assisting with pre-shift tasks, and delivering exquisite cocktail service. Must have 2 years in a high-volume bar, spirits knowledge, and required certifications.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in bar or high-volume bar in a similar restaurant/bar environment.
• Exemplary knowledge of spirits and wine as well as food and wine pairing.
• Food Handlers Card required.
• RBS Certification required.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must possess basic math skills and the ability to use a calculator.
• Must possess basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Display a congenial appearance and be well groomed at all times.
• Ensure all mise en place are setup and ready for service according to SOP.
• Assist with pre-shift mise in place including bar setup, juices and garnishes prepped, wines by the glass stocked, ice stocked, and side duties as outlined.
• Assist guests in delivering a flawless dining experience with exceptional service, decor and presentations.
• Assist guests in seating areas, offer specialty cocktails, describe the menu and escort beverages to tables.
• Prepare cocktails for the main dining room and private functions.
• Assist service colleagues in breakdown and cleanup of service areas.
