Job summary

Charlton Athletic Football Club in London is seeking a Mens First Team Loans Manager to oversee loan moves, coordinating between first team, U21s and academy to ensure players gain valuable senior experience.

You will identify loan opportunities, assess clubs, manage negotiations and monitor players’ progress with regular reviews, aiming to optimise development and wellbeing within the loan system.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in player development, loans, recruitment or football operations.
• Knowledge of UK and overseas football with an established network.
• Understanding of FA, EFL, Premier League and FIFA loan rules.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for extensive travel.

Responsibilities

• Identify players who would benefit from a loan and assess potential clubs in the UK and overseas.
• Support negotiations and ensure placements meet relevant regulations.
• Act as main point of contact for players while on loan and provide regular progress feedback.
• Track progress via match attendance, training visits and video/data review.
• Contribute to loan decision making, recalls, extensions and player progression.
