You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners while developing the skills needed to grow within Loan Operations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform key loan servicing tasks such as loan maintenance and updates, payment processing, data entry, loan document preparation, escrow and tax support, and basic reconciliations and support tasks.
  • Process loan‑related transactions following established workflows, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide timely, professional support to internal partners and external customers.
  • Accurately complete work within assigned deadlines and communicate status updates as needed.
  • Track and support basic reporting metrics to help monitor team workflow.
  • Collaborate with team members and assist where needed in a high‑volume environment.
  • Participate in training and cross‑training opportunities to expand knowledge across Loan Support functions.
  • Actively learn and apply loan servicing concepts, systems, and compliance requirements.
  • Follow all Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable regulations.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture by demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and a willingness to learn.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and share ideas to enhance processes.
  • Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations for the assigned job function and apply ongoing training.
  • Keep up to date on regulation changes and complete required annual or job‑specific training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank’s written policies and procedures regarding key regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, and Bank Security.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as a subject matter expert.
  • Actively learn, demonstrate, and foster the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words.
  • Take personal initiative and be a positive example for others to emulate.
  • Embrace the company vision to become the "Business Bank of Choice".
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • 0-1 year of relevant experience in banking, finance, customer service, or administrative support preferred (training available).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Basic math and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and partners.
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to grow professionally.
