Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a Loan Servicing Specialist I for its El Monte, CA site. This contract-to-hire role handles borrower record maintenance, payment processing, and general ledger reconciliation within loan servicing systems, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in banking, financial services, loan servicing, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with loan servicing systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive working relationships across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain borrower records and related account information within loan servicing systems.
• Review and validate Beneficial Ownership documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Follow up with internal partners to obtain required documentation and resolve discrepancies.
• Reconcile General Ledger accounts related to invoices, payments, and suspense balances.
• Set up and assess fees associated with invoice processing and loan servicing activities.
• Review, distribute, and reconcile incoming wire transactions.
• Process routine loan payment transactions accurately and timely.
• Perform customer information and non-monetary loan maintenance updates.
• Complete transaction verification and callback procedures when required.
• Respond to inquiries from internal business partners regarding loan servicing activities.
• Prepare management reports related to compliance, account reconciliations, and operational metrics.
• Perform end-of-day balancing and reconciliation activities.
• Support additional servicing and operational tasks as assigned.
