Job description

Our client, a growing community bank in the Natick/Framingham area, is seeking a Loan Servicing Core Team Lead to support the continued expansion of their lending operations. This newly created leadership role offers the opportunity to mentor a team, drive operational excellence, and play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the bank's loan servicing platform. The ideal candidate is an experienced loan servicing professional who enjoys coaching others, solving complex challenges, and improving processes within a collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor the Loan Servicing Core Specialist team and Escrow and Insurance Portfolio Specialists
• Provide daily workflow coordination, performance oversight, and operational support
• Serve as the subject matter expert for loan boarding, modifications, participations, investor loan sales, escrow, insurance, flood compliance, PMI, ARMs, HELOCs, payments, and transactions
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of loan data within the core servicing system
• Oversee loan maintenance, payment processing, payoffs, advances, renewals, adjustments, and account updates
• Support core system maintenance, data cleanup initiatives, risk rating updates, and review date management
• Partner with internal departments to ensure seamless servicing operations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, audit standards, and internal policies
• Assist with system testing, conversions, process improvements, and implementation projects
• Develop and maintain procedures, training materials, and job aids
• Conduct team meetings, coaching sessions, onboarding, and cross training activities
• Identify operational risks and opportunities for process improvement

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience

• Five to seven years of loan servicing experience
• Prior leadership, mentoring, training, project leadership, or workflow coordination experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of loan servicing regulations, investor requirements, and banking operations
• Experience working with loan servicing systems and industry platforms
• Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members

This is a hybrid role. The first 90 days are fully on-site, then will go to 2 days on-site and 3 days remote. The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $110,000 depending on skills and experience.
