Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. is seeking a loan operations specialist to reconcile loan system balances with the corporate ledger and to perform month-end close duties. The role supports accurate financial reporting within the Loan Operations team.

The successful candidate will reconcile accounts daily, utilize SilverLake, GL Recon, 4Sight and Synergy, and communicate any variances to leadership. A high level of accuracy, integrity, and compliance with banking regulations is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent relative work experience preferred.
• All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Must be proficient with Excel.
• Experience in banking or accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile the SilverLake loan system balances, comparing them to the Corporate General Ledger
• Reconcile all loan general ledger/DD accounts daily by monitoring and clearing outstanding items. Process general ledger entries or preparing loan payments/reversals as needed.
• Provide a month-end reconcilement of loan processes to Team Leader/Supervisor and document variances in Blackline.
• Use tools and reports daily (SilverLake, GL Recon, 4Sight and Synergy).
• Communicate with other departments/branches regarding exception issues as they arise
• Other duties as assigned
• Maintain compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, adhere to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and complete training timely.
