Job summary

Hanmi Financial Corporation seeks a Quality Review Manager in Los Angeles to support a sound loan portfolio and ensure compliance with state and federal laws. You will review consumer, commercial, SBA documents and guide lending staff.

The role requires experience in underwriting, strong analytical and leadership skills, and the ability to oversee loan file reviews and regulatory compliance across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; significant experience in commercial lending or SBA underwriting is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and work in a team.
• Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Apply superior decision-making to inquiries, approvals, and requests within policy and approval limits.
• Ensure security measures to protect loans, collateral and staff.
• Identify control deficiencies and initiate recommendations in loan origination areas.
• Oversee and maintain departmental reports and documentation workflows.
• Review loan files before Sr. Management review for Loan Committee submission.
• Coordinate with processing/funding to ensure accurate flow of information for timely closings.
• Perform final review of loan files after funding.
• Maintain communication between borrowers, escrow, title and staff.
• Consult with legal counsel and third-party vendors when needed.
• Guide credit officers on proper documentation and procedures.
• Instruct staff on documentation and title issues.
• Specify required documentation to complete loan files.
• Provide customer service in person and on the phone.
• Review staff work for proper documentation and quality.
• Possibly supervise downline staff and delegate tasks.
• Apply underwriting guidelines to verify documentation compliance.
• Contribute to staff development through strong communication and delegation.
• Cover duties in absence of staff and during high workload periods.
• Administer performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and interview candidates.
• Uphold company values and ethics in all actions.
• Promote diversity and a harassment-free workplace.
• Follow policies and report unsafe conditions per OSHA.
