Job summary

Dexter is seeking a detail-oriented Loan Processor to support loan and credit applications across Dexter and branches. You will accept payments, compute interest, balance loans, and enter new loans daily in Jack Henry systems.

You will respond to customer inquiries by phone or written correspondence, maintain loan records, and handle insurance coordination with Collateral Protection Insurance Co. Strong accuracy is essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
Experience with loan processing or banking systems is helpful.

Responsibilities

Accepts and processes payments on loans.
Keeps record of applications for loans and computes interest and payments.
Provides customer credit information or rating on request to clients or banks.
Balances loans daily for the organization and branches.
Enters new loans and extensions daily on Jack Henry system.
Answers customer phone calls, inquiries and research on the loans.
Processes maintenance on loan system for Dexter and all branches.
Prints, mails and calls companies to obtain insurance for loans and scans insurance daily to the insurer.
Maintains and balances cash drawer and researches loan errors.
