Job summary

F2 Finance seeks an in-office team member in Santa Monica to support private credit underwriting end-to-end, from intake to closing. You will manage files so the credit lead can focus on judgment, structuring, and portfolio strategy. With demonstrated capability, the role offers a path to full underwriting authority.

You will collaborate with brokers and borrowers, review reports, and build initial credit materials while improving file quality and turn times.

Qualifications

2–4 years in private lending or related fields.
Experience closing loans is strongly preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organization.
Clear, professional written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Manage loan file from intake through closing and drive items to completion.
Review third-party reports (appraisals, title, flood, insurance, background checks).
Coordinate with brokers, borrowers, title, escrow and counsel to clear conditions.
Maintain audit-ready loan files and ensure documentation standards.
Spread borrower financials and prepare initial credit summaries.
Draft term sheets and credit memos under supervision.
Track exceptions and ensure policy compliance.
Support portfolio matters by pulling data and updating loan tape.
Assist with extensions, payoffs, and borrower correspondence.
Identify process improvements to reduce time to close.
