Job summary

Texell Credit Union in Temple, TX is seeking a detail-oriented Consumer Loan Processor to work onsite at our Temple headquarters. You will assist staff and members via phone and multiple digital channels, ensuring accurate loan processing and timely closings.

Qualifications

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• A desire to excel in an essential behind-the-scenes role that directly contributes to outstanding member experiences. This is an onsite position.
• Availability to work during the week and occasional half-day Saturdays. Applicants with open availability are preferred.
• Previous banking, consumer lending, or loan processing experience is highly preferred.
• A demonstrated history of reliability and commitment in previous employment.
• The ability to perform detailed, repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
• Strong integrity, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Play a vital role in supporting both retail and digital lending channels by preparing approved consumer loans for closing, gathering required documentation, and ensuring a smooth experience for our members.
• Carefully review and analyze loan documentation to ensure accuracy, legitimacy, and completeness.
• Build positive relationships with members and business partners through professional communication by phone, email, and in person to help ensure timely loan closings.
• Collaborate closely with lending staff and other departments to answer questions, resolve issues, and obtain information needed to efficiently serve our members.
• Audit booked loans to verify accuracy and correct any discrepancies to maintain the highest level of service and operational excellence.
• Expand your expertise through cross-training opportunities in areas such as loan adjustments, total loss claims, dealer drafting, and payoff requests.
• Demonstrate initiative by helping solve problems, supporting teammates, and contributing to the success of the lending team and credit union as a whole.
