Job summary

Texell Credit Union located in Temple, TX is seeking a Full-Time Mortgage Loan Officer. This role involves originating residential mortgage loans while advising applicants on available products and maintaining exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of duties relating to the origination of residential mortgage loans.
• Maintain knowledge of and advise applicants on available loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting guidelines.
• Meet standards and objectives defined by management for mortgage loan sales and cross‑sell other Credit Union products.
• Work with a team who values people over money. We do not turn away loans based on size.
• Maintain high levels of customer service while managing each applicant, vendor, and department expectations.
• Establish and maintain professional partnerships with realtors and others within the community which benefits the Credit Union.

Qualifications

• Have a bachelor’s degree in business or related field and/or 2 years of progressive experience in lending related positions.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Be able to demonstrate strong resiliency.
