Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Review processing-ready loan files for completeness, accuracy, and satisfied approval conditions.
  • Obtain and validate income, identity, purchase, payoff, insurance, collateral, and other required documents.
  • Prepare accurate loan agreements, disclosures, security instruments, and ancillary-product documents.
  • Verify loan terms, fees, payment dates, borrower information, collateral details, and disbursement instructions.
  • Coordinate signatures, closing activities, funding, and disbursement within established controls.
  • Manage title, lien-perfection, insurance, and post-closing follow-up requirements.
  • Perform pre-funding and post-closing quality-control reviews.
  • Communicate clearly with members, Loan Specialists, vendors, dealers, and internal teams.
  • Identify discrepancies, fraud indicators, or policy concerns and elevate them promptly.
  • Maintain accurate LOS notes, tracking, and electronic loan files.

What you will do as the Loan Processor

As a Loan Processor, you will be the detail-driven operational partner who helps approved loans move smoothly from acceptance to closing and funding. You will verify conditions and documentation, prepare accurate loan and collateral documents, coordinate signatures and disbursement, protect the credit union’s lien position, and complete post-closing quality review. This is not a sales or credit decision role; it is a critical control position for someone who takes pride in getting every detail right while keeping members and internal teams informed.

What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Consumer loan processing, lending operations, or financial services experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-throughWorking knowledge of loan documents, collateral, titles, liens, and funding processes
