Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Chicago seeks a Loan Originations Associate I to support lending execution across Wealth Management, Business Banking, and Commercial Banking. You will act as a frontline resource for inquiries, guide partners through the origination lifecycle, and help ensure timely, accurate outcomes.

You will triage workflow, provide updates, and contribute to process improvements, controls, and risk management while coordinating with multiple teams to maintain momentum.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related loan originations or lending operations experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage escalations using structured problem-solving and ownership.
• Strong written and verbal communication, translating policy into guidance for partners.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple workstreams, and maintain accurate tracking.
• Strong stakeholder management to communicate clearly during escalations.
• Solid time-management, planning, and drive for timely follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Act as a primary point of contact for inquiries and escalations from internal business partners across Wealth Management, Business Banking, and Commercial Banking.
• Triage daily workflow, identify urgent/high-risk items, and drive resolution with the right partners.
• Investigate and resolve exceptions and data/documentation gaps; escalate when approvals are required.
• Apply critical thinking to resolve short-term problems while meeting turnaround times.
• Cultivate stakeholder relationships with clear, professional communication during escalations.
• Provide status updates and readouts; develop concise summaries for leadership.
• Support documentation standards and ensure timely transaction progression and risk controls.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to process improvements and change adoption across partner groups.
• Utilize data and technology to analyze workflow trends and recommend improvements to speed and quality.
• Participate in pilots/initiatives to improve transparency and process efficiency.
