Thomaston Savings Bank is seeking a Loan Operations Assistant I - Commercial in Thomaston, CT. This Regular Full-Time role focuses on supporting loan operations, maintaining accurate loan files, processing payoffs, releases, and UCC filings.

You will also manage escrow, taxes, and insurer-related tasks, and respond to borrower inquiries. Candidate duties include processing funds, disclosures, and ensuring compliance with laws and bank policies.

Responsibilities

• Processes modifications of existing loan relationships and ensures accuracy.
• Maintains loan files with current documentation; processes payoffs, mortgage releases, lease assignments, and UCC filings.
• Reviews insurance reports for escrowed and non-escrowed policies to identify issues.
• Handles tax, flood and escrow disbursement, payments and reporting.
• Responds to emails from Consumer and Commercial Loan Operations.
• Receives calls from borrowers; answers routine questions and troubleshoots inquiries.
• Processes release of funds for new loans and line of credit advances.
• Processes payments for force-placed insurance and communicates with borrowers and file.
• Complies with all policies and legal/regulatory requirements.
