Job summary

Simmons First National Corporation is seeking a Manager of Loan Operations in Little Rock, AR to lead daily loan operations and a collaborative team, ensuring accurate processing and compliance across all activities.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing workflow and audits, and partnering with lending and credit teams to deliver high-quality customer service while maintaining robust controls.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting financial documents, reports, and regulations.
• Knowledge of commercial, consumer, and business loan processes.
• Familiarity with loan documentation, servicing practices, and systems.
• Understanding lending regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support loan operations staff, providing coaching, performance management, and training to ensure team effectiveness. Foster a collaborative, service-oriented team environment
• Manage daily workflow, staffing levels, and workload distribution.
• Monitor pipeline activity, exceptions, and backlog to meet service-level expectations.
• Serve as a point of contact for operational inquiries and issue resolution.
• Maintain proper loan documentation, procedures and operational documentation.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and addressing findings.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and reduce errors.
• Support implementation of process enhancements and system updates.
• Utilize loan systems (LOS, core banking) to track and manage operational performance.
• Partner with lenders, credit teams, and other departments to ensure smooth loan execution.
• Support customer service efforts related to loan servicing and transactions.
• Ensures all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
