Job summary

Planters Bank & Trust Company is seeking a Loan Operations Insurance Specialist to administer hazard insurance requirements across the bank's loan portfolio. You will monitor coverage, validate policy terms, and verify regulatory alignment to protect collateral and financial integrity.

This role acts as a key control within Loan Operations, coordinating with lenders, loan assistants, borrowers, insurance providers, and third-party vendors to mitigate risk, ensure compliance with investor

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in banking, loan operations, insurance administration, loan servicing, compliance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of loan collateral and insurance requirements.
• Knowledge of federal banking regulations related to insurance and collateral protection.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with loan servicing systems, document imaging systems, and insurance tracking platforms preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor hazard insurance requirements for the loan portfolio.
• Ensure borrower coverage meets regulatory, investor, and bank policies.
